Adam and I are Camp Nejeda staff members and diabetics and we are planning to hike 78 miles on the Appalachian trail in just 3 days. We will begin on Sunday, August 12 at Prospect Rock, NY and finish on Tuesday evening at the Delaware Water Gap. This means we will hike the NJ length of the Appalachian Trail in its entirety. On Monday, we will meet up with Nejeda's session 4 campers for lunch, who will be hiking a five mile stretch of the trail beginning at Sunrise Mountain, and then continue on to our goal. But wait! There's more! This is a two-part challenge. We are also trying to raise enough money to donate a full campership before we reach the Gap. Please show your support and donate so that a child with diabetes may have an amazing experience like Adam and I have had here at Camp Nejeda. Can we do it? Follow Camp Nejeda on twitter for live tweets from us and pledge every mile!

We hope your trek was successful and that the hazards of the route only enhanced your belief in yourselves.

What a great challenge. I have about 500 miles experience on the AT with my two sons, daughter, Boy Scouts, and occasionally Pam. It was a life changing experience for all of us. Everyone comes away a better person, more confident in their abilities to overcome obstacles. We hike as often as we can, but the miles on the AT are the most special.
