A former school teacher, "Uncle Jim" has over thirty years experience as a Camp Director with twenty of those years spent here at Camp Nejeda!
Program Staff
The Program Staff make the magic. They guide our campers through their stay, planning and executing all the activities, games and 'nonsense' that makes camp fun. Camp Nejeda's staff has certifications and training in such camp-related skills as archery, lifeguarding, low ropes facilitation, CPR, and First Aid.
Counselors live in the cabins with the campers, help campers adjust to living in a kid's community, lead activities and perform all blood glucose checks on campers. Over 80% of our counselors are former campers and have type 1 diabetes themselves.
We also enrich the Camp Nejeda experience with international staff.
